We went off afternoon tea 7 of us for an 80th, it was amazing and we all had enough to take bags home, the milkshake was amazing best thing I’ve ever tasted, large selection of sandwiches, tuna crunch, cream cheese and tomato, chicken ones, scones clotted cream, variety of cakes and chocolate strawberries with the most amazing chocolate in them.. all tea and coffee as much as you want including decaf, hot chocolate extra, all in all perfect and really enjoyable, igloo heated and blankets provided too ,. Thankyou

Been going here for years and really enjoyed it. However, 20 minutes to be served, drinks came after the food, my partners food came out 5 minutes before mine. Food is still nice.

Me and my girlfriend came to Grandpa Greene’s today at around 09:40 for a takeaway coffee. After waiting for over 5 minutes- despite being able to see staff, and staff seeing us, we were eventually told by a woman who appeared to be a manager/supervisor that someone would see to us soon. Five more minutes passed and we were served. My girlfriend ordered one latte to take away. A further 10 minute wait then ensued as we stood in what appeared to be an almost deserted cafe. After waiting for so long, I asked a member of staff if we would have to wait much longer, and moments later a distinctly tepid and weak tasting latte was given to her. Too frustrated with the wait time and terrible customer service we left without asking questions to continue our walk.

Lovely place, the breakfast was great and plenty of it. We were served by Emma and Megan and the staff are accommodating, professional and welcoming towards dogs. Water bowls etc. brought around and provided for dogs. A great visit

Not very dog friendly. Tried to order for the outside tables but no service when asking at the ice cream part - said I had to join a Q behind the hut, did so, no Q and ended up at same spot. They were now fawning over a group with 4 kids! Gave up and took custom elsewhere. Toilets were useful when leaving. Not a warm welcome.

Tried the domes for breakfast, heaters are great and staff did a good job with our allergies.

The breakfast wasn’t great, most items were a bit dry and no offer of replacements for items even if there’s an allergy/dietary requirements. No plant based butter with vegan breakfast so my partner had to have her toast without.
Nice picturesque surroundings and friendly staff.

The location is beautiful, the staff is friendly. The afternoon tea was lovely, only downside to it was the quality of what was supposed to be a milkshake, but in reality was a tasteless, watery and super-sweet glass of milk.
Great scone and chocolate cake, savoury bits were tasty, but too small, the four of them together would have hardly amounted to a full slice of bread.

A lovely spot, very picturesque. We enjoyed the walk along the canal afterwards eating ice cream.
The eggs and avocado were tasty, but there was too much sauce over the top. It was too hot and overpowered everything else. The eggs and avocado are far more subtle flavours.
The ice cream was very good.
We bought some brownies to take away and have later. They looked good, but I have to say I did not like them, they were far too squishy and tasted under cooked. I prefer my own.

After initially contacting by email to book an igloo for a baby shower and check we could bring a balloon etc I was informed the breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea menus would be available. I then booked and emailed back to check if we needed to prebook afternoon tea or could order on the day. I had no response so tried phoning several times and never got an answer. When we arrived on the day for an 11.30 booking we were told only the breakfast menu was available. We stated we had been told all menus were available, to which we were told if we waited till 12 we could order from the lunch menu but had to leave by 1.20. It’s was nearly 12.15 by the time our order was taken. At nearly 12.30 somebody came back to say an item wasn’t available. When the food arrived we felt very rushed. We had to chase service to order desert. The whole thing was a complete let down from the lack of communication. We were rushed, service was slow, we weren’t able to order the food we had planned on and it just ruined a special occasion. The food itself was nice but we wouldn’t book a large booking here again. I have since emailed to share the concerns we had and again had no response at all.
